Oklahoma Badge Company

Wand and Son Manufacturers

John Wand, a practical pharmacist and druggist, left Topeka, Kansas in 1888 and relocated to Oklahoma City.  After arriving, Wand established the Wand, Ancker and Company.

In 1901, Wand began making rubber stamps, seals and badges in his rubber stamp factory, Wand and Son.  The company went on to make stencils, buttons, glass and porcelain letters among other items.

In 1912, the company was sold to Frank Wright and renamed Ivy Print and Stamp Company.  In early 1913, the Wright---McGill Company purchased the business from Ivy and continued its operation in Oklahoma City.
